Let's Go Fly a Kite - in Weymouth!
Each year at the beginning of May, the Weymouth International Kite Festival is a massive event. The skies above the beach are filled with kites or all colours, shapes and sizes. Quite a sight!

The Lighthouse at Portland Bill
People come to Portland Bill to see the lighthouse and there is a car park nearby. If you come here on a foggy day, the fog horn is almost deafening - quite an experience. Chesil Beach is nearby and stretches for miles and miles - nearby 20 in fact.

Abbotsbury Swannery
Abbotsbury is a big village fairly close to Weymouth. You should try and come here in late spring (May and June), because there are thousands of swan and cygets in the Swannery and it really is quite an experience. There have been swans here for more than 600 years, apparently. There are some really great subtropical gardens just up the road as well, so if you want to make a day of it, you can buy a 'passport ticket' for both attractions, and also a Children's Farm as well.
